2003 Nissan 350z
So I bought a 350z about 2 months ago it started at first but it had codes and I decided to fix them myself so I replaced the plenum gaskets and knock sensor harness and knock sensor itself apparently there was a rat nest in the area where the knock sensor is located I cleared out all the trash and cleaned it out made sure nothing got into my valves and all that I replaced all that stuff and put everything back together I replaced all the gaskets even the throttle body gasket and I hooked up all the hoses put everything back together and tightened and car wouldn’t start... I thought it was the maf sensor so I bought a whole new sensor and a whole new air filter k&n to be exact I hooked everything up and still nothing car starts revs up to 3 then dips super low and then stalls out idk what it could be idk if it’s the harness or what I’m so discouraged rn I feel like giving up on this car tbh...

Welcome- moved this thread to the appropriate forum. It would help to post more background details on your Z including: mileage, any mods, any repair/maintenance records, how did you start your repairs and any other details that might help us to provide any guesses?

I have a 2003 Nissan 350z
155,000 miles it’s had new shocks and struts it’s been completely grounded with red wires I’m not sure but it has a body kit the previous owner I bought it from didn’t give me much info on records so as far as I know they didn’t do much engine wise they did however have an after market air filter kit on it which I recently replaced maf sensor and all and I’m still having problems... I’m gonna tear down upper and lower plenum again and see if I have any leaks

At 155K there could be a number of failures, and with no history I would start with pulling codes from the onboard diagnostic system. In the meantime, change all the fluids (oil/filter, tranny, diff and brake) to get a fresh start with this well-used Z.
