I have a 2005 350z that i bought as a parts car for a 2004 i bought wrecked , used some parts from it and decided now i want to put it together.

First problem i had was the harness dogs ate the harness , replaced the harness no big deal , 2nd problem i had was the key that came with it had no chip it was just the metal , tried popalock they could not get it to program so i gave up sent the Ecm to Z1 had it Upreved and Nat deleted , just got it back hooked it up still notice the red light in the dash on solid , crank no start. not sure if its nat related or if that is normal now that it is deleted.

reverse a bit , when i couldnt crank this car before the delete i hooked up my Autel Maxsys but was only able to read like 3 systems in the car one was not the Engine you can watch the computer scan thru all the systems like looking for them multiple times but not finding or reporting them, so i took the ecm from my other 350 and it read the same only like 3 systems , but the other car i was able to hook the ecm to and read all the systems.

So im a little stuck on whats going on , all fuses look ok , i dont have alot of back story on this car , cranks strong , nothing seems bad engine wise but have never heard it run . i am thinking its something related to not reading the Engine , i hooked up to it tonight it read the BCM fine and the IPDM E/R but no other systems show up in the scan ,on my other car i can read about 6 to 8 systems that tells me something isnt right.

So i ended up figuring out what this problem was and it ended up being not knowing what your buying.

After talking to Z1 Motorsports who did the uprev and nat delete they kinda set me in the right direction of what to look for , i removed the bcm was going to swap it with my 04 but it was totally different , so checked all the fuses in it everything was good.

Started going fuse by fuse looking at fuses everything looked fine or so i thought , i bought a fuse pack of Orielly that lights up , i didnt know that i had bought them so when i replaced a few fuses i seen one was lit up and said cool it shows you when your fuse is working. Wrong , ended up the lit up fuse went to the Ecm Relay and lit up means blown , changed it out and got to hear this Z run for the first time.

Installed most of the front end parts that i robbed off of it only had Airbag codes " waiting on air bag and module " and a VVT code ordered a new one of those.
