Walbro 450 install issues
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to install a walbro 450 into my 03 350z but am running into some fitment issues. I've already trimmed the nipple on the pump and the housing where the fuel pump sits however I can't seem the get the fuel pump assembly to compress enough to fit back in the tank. I tried it with a CNT 255 but was still running into the same issue (however not as drastic so I was able to get some bolts snugged down). I've tried googling, using the search function in the forum, and even watched videos. I've checked to make sure nothing is binding, but the issue is the fuel pump bottoms out in the basket, which doesn't let it compress any further.
Update: Figured it out, I ended up trimming the oem fuel filter neck so the filter sits right underneath the pump, giving the clearance to get the assembly to compress the amount required.
