I've lost a few cats over the years. Sucks. Sorry to hear.

Looks like you're doing a lot of work. Reminds me of me 25 years ago. Doing as much as I can to make my car different on a limited budget.

Thank you, much appreciated! I was able to get a claw mold of his paw print with his name engraved. Very happy about it.

I'm still unsure where the old pics are, I built a PC n swapped everything from my DELL and don't remember where I put my project pictures. I'm mainly cleaning everything up, painting, n bolting everything back together. Also kinda throwing in some small side projects to keep me busy. I try to make everything easily removable to make any repairs quicker. Not too long before starting the thread, I had a 4 rack shelf, 6 feet long stacked full of parts and all my body panels hanging from the walls and ceiling lol. It's come a long way from a few months ago and doesn't exactly look like a donor car anymore.

Finished with the suede wrapping. Very happy with how everything came out. No wrinkles or ugly corners/sides at all. The biggest issue was making everything fit again as clearances got smaller between parts.

Interior is almost done. Have to finish the passenger door/window, passenger wiring harness, sub mounting, and cleaning. Next is the hatch and hood. Have to grind away at the hood hinges to get better fitment, and will be removing the washers to even the hood out and making spacers that match the shape of the hinges. Tunnel hatch needs to be adjusted, need to find a solution for hatch struts that work with a carbon hatch, and going to see about new springs for the hatch as the stock ones are too strong and raise it even while closed. Next will be the engine, rechecking connections, new PS connections/hoses, fixing the zspeed undershroud, cleaning underneath up as there is PS, coolant, n oil everywhere from spills/leaks.

Only some small changes. Been finishing up the rear. Waiting on double sided tape, wire loom, n longer bolts n then it will be complete. Gonna start underneath the engine in a few hours.

Bottle warmer rings were rusty and they were already leaving rust dust before taking everything apart. Cut them off and used some coated stainless line instead.

Also upgraded to a Nitrous Outlet bottle bracket that is full stainless. Sucked enlarging the bolt holes on the brackets.

God rid of the male/female spade connectors for the switches.

Sub enclosure was made a while back with full interior, will be redoing it later on. Used rivnuts and eye bolts to hold down the enclosure. Tried making multiple brackets, nothing seemed clean or practical.

Made some progress. Car was a pain to jack up as I had to lift it 3 times to get it situated. All the tires were at 10-14 psi lol. Changed the oil n filter, old oil only had like an hour of running time, but its been 2 yrs+ since. Cleaned up all the fluid spills on/under the engine. Undertray had to be cleaned and banged out flat. Got a m6 rivnut in the front subframe securely as well due to the welded in nut snapping off. Got all the coolant and power steering lines clamped down and ready to be filled as well.

Bought fender liners too, havnt had these on in forever, I also put on the fronts rear fender liners. The last 2 times I went OEM, this time I went after market, was $34 shipped for the 2 liners and honestly I rather the cheaper ones, they seem to be more rigid.

Tires should have another 5k on them . Gonna order some new HTR Z 3's soon before driving.

Next I gotta fit the front bumper again. Front bumper is really deformed (poly). I don't remember how I had it mounted even, but I wanna see about getting rid of the quick release and replacing with the push button quick release.

Added rubber trim to the hatch edge, it filled the gaps when closed and also made it a tighter fit.

I took apart the hatch springs to go get new ones, turns out, I found 2 springs in my box of random hardware. Seems to work, added some M6 fender washers to the inside due to the length of the spring being shorter. They no longer hold the hatch open, even when it was closed and latched. Pops up the hatch enough to get my fingers underneath. OEM Left. NEW Right.

Got on the front bumper, kinda. It was extremely warped. I spent over 2 hours heating and pushing it back into place. The bumper wouldn't even fit on the car before hand. Once the car is drivable and out in the Arizona sun, ill fit the bumper again.

Got rid of the red tacky quick release and threw on some black. Car will be wrapped gloss black, so I rather them blend in.

Tomo - Gotta get some double sided tape today for the spoiler. Fits a lot better after a lotta trimming; although compared to when it was on an OEM hatch, the fitment is worse. Also will be taking off the hood n drilling out the brackets a bit more for better fitment and clean up the hood latch cuts I made years ago.

Removed the hatch and sanded off the little bit of surface rust on the roof from rock chips n sanded everything smooth, ready for paint. I never plugged the hole from where I believe the hatch wire harness came from, so some aluminum and seal sealer fixed that. Glad I ended up doing this or I woulda had a water mess once I washed the car.

Trunk area is finished! Happy with how it turned out. Nothing is being cleaned till until the car is rolling. ~ Later on I'll redo the sub enclosure and would like to make some trim for the rear strut bar.

Get someone to weld up that hole. Also, turn the nitrous bottle 90 degrees, so the low side faces the rear of the car. The pickup is at the bottom of the bottle. When you're accelerating, the nitrous gets push towards the rear of the car.

It would have been cleaner to have it welded, but I figured the patch I did will suffice. I use to have a welder I could go to and have him do anything I needed quickly. Theres a few spots I need welded, that I figured will get done once the car is down for a while again.

I mounted the bottle sideways due to routing/simplicity and when I originally mounted the bottle, I tried to orientate it the way you suggested but was having trouble with the bottom side being accessible due to the frame/subframe. Woulda been much easier with a false floor. If I do have issues arise, then I will change it. Appreciate the advice!

Painted the roof area. Striped a bit as expected. but its all one color, no rust/bare metal, so I'm happy. Gonna be taking off the sideskirt and fender so I can align the door better and repaint the fender. Fender got banged up from not being on the car for over a year.

Car is pretty much ready to be turned over, I just need a tune. Messaged Pat @ LMT for an Etune and now just waiting for a response.

Fender off for paint!

Horns assembled with new hardware after repainting. Will be making a bracket for the secondary latch tomo.

Got a keychain made to replace of the doge. Use to make my money streaming and this was a commonly used emote, so I used the original picture.

I lost one of the license plate light assemblies, so I purchased new ones for like $15 with the led board already installed. Still havnt tried them.

Once the fender is back on in a few days, hood will be coming off for spacers and to clean these cuts up.

Also fixed my front blinker issue. I'm not sure what happened, as I never had issues before hand. Bought new bulbs, still didnt work, tested and had power. Turned out to be the prongs, they were smushed in.

Its the Vicrez N3. Got it when they were new, through the forums. Fitment use to be very good on it, the only issue was slight over trimming under one of the headlights from the company. Seemed to be issues with the bumpers afterwards with being very thin. No idea if the issue was fixed.

Alright, so I'm moving today/tomo, thankfully I got another 2 weeks here tho, so car is fine. Should be getting my base map soon so I can bleed the fluids n start it up. Gotta prime the oil and gap the spark plugs still. Very excited to hear the car turn over.
I spent hours yesterday fixing a wiring issue. I pretty much always have the hatch/doors open slightly and just disconnect the battery; so I didnt notice till yesterday, but the hatch light would not shut off. I gave the hatch light a constant ground, which was a big nono. Got the hatch back on and put a washer under the bracket, fits much better now.

Still experiencing hyper blink for some odd reason, did not have this issue before hand. Gonna buy some resistors n hopefully tht fixes it.

Made the bracket for the secondary latch.

Spoiler mounted.

Fender painted.

The car and tools are pretty much all that is left at the old place. Waiting on my base map to turn it over.

Made a lotta headway.... got the base tune uploaded n turned over... Low oil pressure n oil light on. Was reading like 6 psi after 7 mins of running. Hoping and guessing its the sensor. I installed n Ebay sensor a while back after the OEM failed n was 120 psi nonstop. Never drove the car with the ebay sensor.

I've found through trial and error to only use Nissan sensors and only get them from the dealer. There are too many Chinese knock-offs on eBay and Amazon. The box says Nissan and has a Nissan part number on it, but it's not a Nissan part. The dead giveaway is if it's priced at half (or less) than what it costs from the dealer.

Yeaaa. I agree with ya. Pretty sure I paid like $13 for the sensor and it did work for the 20-30 mins my car idled soon after the install 2 years ago lol. Guess my thinking was, its not a "needed" sensor, should be fine to go cheap; nope.

Bought a mechanical gauge... The gauge in the car showed 3 PSI oil pressure @ 130F oil temp @700rpm.. The mechanical gauge showed 21 @ 150F oil temp @600rpm.. Less RPM, higher oil temp, n yet more pressure.. Looks like the ebay sensor is complete trash.
Also tired of the spoiler and double sided tape. Gonna install it one more time, using adhesive promoter on the spoiler, if there are issues, I'll go with another one. The Stillen spoiler has been complete crap for fitment.

Fixed the hyper blink issue I had. No idea why it started randomly, as I did not have it before hand with the resistors in the rear. I even replaced them n still had the issue. I HATE these connectors, but I'm on a time crunch and they worked.
.

Trimmed up the horrible hood cuts I did years ago.

Fixed the fender/door gap and afterwards spent a long time on the hood. The hood is a Seibon TS HR, fits pretty badly tbh. I made the best outta it. I enlarged the hood hinge holes, added nylon nuts and black nylon spacers. Looks much cleaner than washers n steel rusted nuts. I closed the gap on the front bumper but it lead to the hood sinking below the fenders BADLY. Added a small rubber stopped on the hood and adjusted the hood latches and I am happier with how it looks and latches now compared to before.

Hood is way more centered now, no more massive gap near the passenger fender. The Driver side gap is a lot closer bc the bumper was not secured for the pic.

Had my younger brother come out to help me with the hood, always made fun of the catfish/nurse shark bumper n decided to add some teeth.

Window half done, got it mounted correctly, just gotta trim it up.

How the bay is now. Have a vac leak somewhere and a burning smell/light smoke coming from somewhere, nothing is touching the block or headers.. Can't seem to pinpoint it as I've looked with light and gotton underneath even, I'm gonna guess old oil residue from a bad oil spill a while ago. Coolant is bled, pretty easy with most coolant lines deleted. Gonna reinstall the old ebay sensor for now to drive it the hour to the new place. Got an oem oil pressure sensor, brake/clutch pedal stopper, and a new battery cover from Z1 on the way.

Overall, excited to drive the car in 2/3 days, been years since I last drove it.
