New 2006 350z harness problem
Hey guys I just got another z but this one had the rev up switched for a non rev up. What do I actually need to do for the harness/ecu so that the CEL isnt on anymore. I have never worked with electrical outside of wiring some speakers and a few other easy stuff. Would just light to know actual, full explanation, fixes that I could do or if its to much for me to do I do t want to get ripped off at a shop.

I'm sorry... "recipe" switched for "non-recipe"? Is that code for something?

Replace the PCM or have it reflashed for a Non-Revup rom (no guarantee this doesn't cause other issues). Elsewise, you're looking at a complete engine harness replacement along with replacing the PCM. This is the 2nd or 3rd post I have seen about someone replacing a Revup with a Non-Revup....just stick with what was in the car, it's a massive hassle to get things playing nice again. I understand a non-revup DE is a bit cheaper, but it's not worth it in the long run. Also, you are effectively downgrading the performance.
