Default Blox vs Motordyne Plenum

Hey guys

So I know that the 5/16 plenum by Motordyne is the best of the best and I'd ideally like that one. However, I live in NZ and a lot of places don't ship it here and when they do, it will end up costing me around $700 - $800 which is a huge waste of cash.

I noticed the BLOX one is on sale (https://bloxracing.com/collections/o...-nissan-vq35de), is a lot cheaper anyway and I get it here for around $275.

Is the Blox that bad? Or is it fine if you add some RTV protector etc?

Blox is a hard plastic while the motordyne is an aluminum composite I believe?

Either are fine …

Know that neither will really do anything without additional intake/exhaust mods and a tune -

I run the Blox spacer for the past 5 years no issues. Make sure to use Hondabond on the surfaces.

Assuming you have made this mod., what other mods did you do and what tune setup did you use?

everyone knows what you meant but, you meant to say spacer, not plenum.

there are companies that can assist you with shipping. they help with international shipping when a company is not very cooperative about that. you have the product shipped to them, then they forwarded on to you. additional cost but a lot less than direct. usually on the east coast of the US. Worth a quick search. I can't recommend any to you directly but it's easy enough to find. once you know what you're looking for.

Check eBay for any 5/16" spacer.
The 5/16" spacer has been dyno'ed to gain 4whp, but it does lean the car out.
Not bad for about $50. So I wouldn't' say it doesn't do anything
