Default Floor Vent Too much heat

Has anyone else noticed hot air coming from the floor vents even when a/c should be cooling? I had my temp set to about 70 when it was 48 outside and it got so hot in the cabin that I was sweating. I noticed it after I had been driving for a bit at somewhat elevated RPMs. I had to put the a/c down to 60 to get cool air. Anybody?

I bet your just feeling the heat from the cats - - there located close to your feet under the car - - just a guess, I used to notice it alot when I first got my Z too.

Default hot floor

Yeah, the floor down there does get a little toasty.

It's nice in the winter though.

I believe what's going on may be the HVAC computer trying to balance out the overall temperature throughout the cabin. Some small amount of heat was needed to bring the floor-level air up to 70 and some cooling was needed to bring the ceiling-level air down to 70. That's my guess.

All I do is set the temperature **** to a reasonable number, say 70 like you did, and then if I'm too hot, I go lower, and vice versa. The system does a pretty good job of evaluating things automatically and controls air temperature, register selections, and fan speed.
