Park your car away from everyone else,
don't park it on the side of the road,
constantly monitor the car from the window (ask the waitress for a window seat),
make your friends "block your car in" when you can't find open space,
drive your beater if you absolutly cannot do the list above.
And make your friends who call you "****" pay for the next hit and run damage.

^^^ Yup!
**** is ok, you're the one that works hard for it right? I NEVER park anywhere other then an end spot. I dont care if it's 100 spots from the next car, end spots only and of coure the first spot next to a handicap spot.

I'm super paranoid about my car too. I'm afraid I wont be able to take it to too many places.. At least at work I can park WAAAY at the back near a field and still see it from my office.
I need a two-way alarm...

Damn man sorry to see and hear about this
I swear the more of this freaking hit and runs I see, the more my paranoia grows. I really do sincerely hope you somehow find the one responsible for this and politely introduce yourself, then politely run him or her over in your Z. Your Z wants/needs revenge too...hehe

Man this brings back stomach wrenching memories. When I started school my old Honda was show-car quality. Not a dent, not a scratch at 35k miles..it had been washed weekly. Then it got the crap beat out of it in college parking lots. Where I went to school everyone else had BMWs, so you'd think they'd be careful...but hell no. By the end of the 4 years it looked like the car had been through a dozen hailstorms.
Some lady once reversed into my car and crunched the whole front clip...fortunately she was nice enough to leave her #.
It definitely sucks when that crap happens to you...but sadly, it happens often. Try not to get too worked up (easier said than done, I know). Maybe look into some touchup paint..I don't know if that stuff is worth repainting. Also, ask your dealer if they have a touchup guy. Some of those guys are amazing...and it'll be a lot cheaper (and probably better) than a full repaint.

Yeah, my car was just past the 2000 mile clock...
It was hard for me to "pick" any parking space, cuz it was hard enough for me to even find a parking at school already...sometimes, I even have to "fight" for it if you know what I mean.
I will try to polish and touch-up the chips...

Damn man... if you can, drive a beater to work/school. I tell you, it's has relieved A LOT of stress for me as the parking situations in both for me are far from ideal...
In hindsight, it doesn't look too bad, but still...

I feel badly for you. Thank goodness I have had mine since Jan 2003 and n ot one chip or scratch on it yet. Of course i park it very far away from everyone and dont even drive it in the rain. Most of all, i have been very lucky.
I guess if I ever sell it, it will be a good car for them since i am at just over 5000 miles in 13 months of ownership. Remember, this is so cal too thus I am able to drive it year round.

Sorry to hear that. The same thing happened to me when I only had 100 miles on the odo. I was fortunate that all the paint scrapped off the side-rear bumper cover and not any of the quarter panel. It's been over 10 months and I still haven't gotten it fixed. Once I get it fixed, someone will do a hit and run (the lady that hit me was "nice" enough to come to my house to tell me).
