What exhaust system parts do you have? What could be better?
Hi everyone!
Wanted to pop in and see what axle backs or mid pipe back sections everyone is using and their feedback on them.
Currently stepping into the market offering exhaust system for these great chassis under
Henko Autolab llc/ Lost in Transtion llc.
At the moment we are offering axle backs that are compatible with the oem midpipe in case you don’t want to do a full setup quite yet. Current offerings are dual 3” or single 4” with choosable tips.
Next on the chopping block is a high ground clearance, resonated Y pipe that is in 3” material but utilizing stock catalytic converter flange size so it’s possible to install on stock cats or aftermarket test pipes. Did a test part as pictured but knew we could achieve more ground clearance. 3” resonated Y pipe
What other tip styles or parts of the system would you like to see made? What do you wish your current system did better at?
Looking forward to your comments!

Reason: Title change
Not to be a wet blanket but what type of differentiation/market impact are you attempting in such a crowded market? What with so many excellent, established, power producing systems at varying price points like Motordyne, Tomei, Invidia, Borla, Magnaflow, Stillen - those just off top of head and there are probably 10-15 other companies building exhausts for the Z33/34. I'd question what your value proposition is that you're going to beat any of them. Price? Quality? Materials? Performance?
Price doesn't seem to be it. I mean, for the price you're asking for what amounts to be empty pipes from the midpipe back replacing a well engineered factory or aftermarket muffler gives me doubts. Producible dyno gains?
Weight? Sure, pipes to replace a full muffler is going to result in a few pounds of weight loss. But honestly, unless you're doing the max weight loss thing by shedding all of your interior, changing out body panels for carbon, that sort of thing, a good muffler gives performance/sound and no one is going to miss the few pounds.
FTR, I've run Nismo S-Tune on both a 33 and 34. Happy with those as my expectations of any exhaust system is pretty small without other power adders.
Don't take this the wrong way but this is what I do for a living. I work with companies (large and small) and punch holes in what someone thought was the next sliced bread then I tell them they're lucky to even have pigeon feed.
What I have and have been loving js the isr single exit exhaust but soone or later I'm going to upgrade to a Shockwave tdxr2 I think that's what it's called just for how loud it is and the sound.

I have stock manifolds, Kinetix cats, and Z1 mid + single exit. track car, no longer concerned with emissions. It's too damn loud without the tip insert so it must be > 100 db. I am in the market for long tube headers next. the best price seems to be from ISR.
ideally? I would like the headers plus true dual front to back, no y-pipe, with an x or h in the middle for better sound.
I agree that there's too much to compete in this market for the Z platform.
I think perhaps going titanium and going with an affordable budget mind may help but then again, most people just do simple Tomei singles, and a variety of other duals stainless steel exhaust setups. If anything, I'd pay for titanium intake setups. But that's not your typical buyer.
I have the Powerhouse Amuse R1 Titan set-up with the y-pipe as well. All titanium from Japan.

Hello! I would totally buy a dual exit (meaning both sides of the bumper, not meaning 2 pipes on just the left side) for 100-150 or so dollars... if you would offer one thats just axleback!!
I have the full Motordyne TDX2 with ART pipes on my '07 hr and loved it since I installed it in '09. IMO the best I've seen or heard on a 350z and many compliments over those years and gets max. backpressure scavanging. I talked a couple of times to the owner (if I remember his name is Tony) in Cali. and he worked for NASA (missle/rocket) exhausts and says if anybody says what are you a rocket scientist, he jokingly says Yes. He explained how this system is awesome for that BP scavanging and with the art pipes you have 4 hemholtz (sp?) resonators. I had it on the Z NA until '14 when I went boosted; low toned, but Godzilla at WOT.
Give 'em a call.
Why do they all stick out 3" past the bumper? Looks silly. I had all Borla. I'm an adult though and don't mind spending more that $150 for an exhaust, unlike the kids that live on eBay.
