The oil is leaking down from the valve cover, not coming from your combustion chamber. The spark plug tube seals have failed from age. You have two options to resolve this.
1) Replace with the OEM valve covers. The tube seals are non-serviceable, so you need to purchase the entire valve cover + perimeter gasket set (which might be included). Z1 has an OEM kit available (LINK).
2) Replace with aftermarket aluminum covers. There are a few brand offerings for painted aluminum valve covers. The advantage to these is that the tube seals are serviceable! Which makes future maintenance much cheaper. CZP has a set available (LINK).
If it were me, I would go for the aluminum set. NOTE: The ALU set is not supported on the VQ35HR, only the VQ35DE. It's a worth while upgrade in my opinion and I think also cheaper vs. OEM. Overall reviews of the aluminum covers have been positive. I think there were some minor footnotes about loose baffle screws which can be easily rectified with some loctite. In short, it's a no brainer, get the aluminum and just be smart about the installation.
Cheers!
