Default No gauges working 03

Does any one know how to fix this. None of the gauges above the steering wheel or center gauges light up or move except the dials on the oil pressure and battery gauge. Everything works fine but nothing shows up on the dash except for seatbelt, emergency brake, etc… I originally thought it could’ve been a fuse, but I have tested all of them and taken all of them out and they are all good.

I have the same problem. No odometer and no dash lights at night.

Two questions: when did these gauge problems first start happening? Second- have either of you tried pulling the triple gauge pod and examining the connection between the main harness and the pod itself?

The left gauge at the top that shows the speed started faltering about a year ago. The display turned light orangish but I could still read the speed. Then a few weeks ago it completely went out. I took the waterfall apart to replace the head unit that had stopped working years ago. I wanted to replace it with a cd/radio. So yes the harness was apart and now back together. I don't recall exactly when the odometer stopped working at the dash lights, sometime last year. I read the threads on this and apparently disconnecting the battery for a few days can correct it, so I guess it is worth a try.

Best to remove and check continuity plug-to-plug on the ribbon cable behind the waterfall. Well known deterioration/breakage issues.

I noticed that when the white box is disconnected a lot of dash stuff doesn't work. I thought that was for climate control. I do see a couple nicks in the ribbon cable. I see a lot of used ones on ebay.

With the white box disconnected, the gauges wil light up but pretty much useless (I think fuel/coolant may work still from memory?).. With the white box connected and ac controls disconnected, it heater circuit witll turn on full blast.

I recently bought a replacement cable, which did not work.. It turns out, from removing the white box so many times, the ribbon cable came loose on the connecter.. worth checking.
