Cold air intake air filter looks like it is melting

So many issues with my 2005 350z. Latest issue by the way I'm new to all this so please excuse my thickness 😆 the cold air intake is melting around the edges. Why??? Any help is appreciated

Post up some pics to show where it is melting. It's probably not installed correctly or it's some cheap-o knock off intake where proper fitment is questionable.
