Default 350Z Road Trip tips?

Driving my 07 350z from SC to TX 16 hours next weekend. Probably gonna drive 8, take a rest, do another 8 hours. Any tips from anyone who’s driven their Z that long of a distance? Would’ve gotten it transported but it was upwards of $1000+.

Check all the fluids. If the car is in good shape the car should do fine on this trip

With cooler weather, check tire pressures and condition. Also, if the battery is older than four years, consider replacing it, as nothing is worse than a starting problem on a trip.

here’s a list of things i personally would bring on a trip that long
1. Spare tire (if you don’t already have one)
2. Tools: jack, two stands, tire wedge, impact gun, socket set, wrench, hammer, exc.
3. oil, I would bring at least 1 quart of oil.
4. coolant, I would bring about 1-2 gallons of coolant and an bleeder funnel just incase you run into over heating issues.
5. air compressor tires. (Don’t always really on gas stations to have an air pump)
6. Anything I forgot that you think you should bring.

also do the basics. Make sure you check your tires pressure (it’s getting cold)
check your oil the morning before you leave and before you start the car. YOU MUST check your oil after the car has sat over night, and YOU MUST check the oil before you start the car. Other wise you won’t get an accurate reading as the dip stick is also a run off for oil to get from the head to the pan. (I don’t know why Nissan did this, so don’t ask me lol). But checking it first thing in the morning is the best way to get an accurate reading as all the oil will have settled at the bottom of the pan.
and that’s it!
bring snacks and water too!
