Vq35hr cheap turbo build.
Aright everyone before I get slaughtered over this post 😂, I was handed an extremely cheap 2008 350z and I want to throw a cheap-ish turbo kit on it or mock one up piece by piece. I’m not the “most” mechanically inclined but i’ll have some help from people who are if needed. I know that cheap isn’t good when it comes to turbo builds but like I said this car was basically donated and it just sits in the driveway rotting so i’m just looking to full send on it with as much saved as possible for a turbo build, i don’t care too much about reliability, as it probably won’t even be driven much after this I just figured it would be a fun thing to do in my spare time. Can anyone point me in the direction for the parts i’ll need to do a top mount turbo for this thing with as much saved as possible, thanks lol
EDIT: looking to be into it for about 6k if possible

Skip the headache and look for a used BP kit. If you want the piece together, get the Unknown mid mount kit.
If you want to not drive the car for 3 years and then sell it as a project, then piece individual parts together yourself.

i’m not in a major rush really so a years time of piecing it together wouldn’t bother me too much, i’m also wanting to shoot for a top mount set up
Get a rev 9 60-1 turbo. 600cc ebay injectors. ebay wastegate, ebay intercooler, any bov. make piping yourself and figure out tune. You're in for $600 plus tune and piping.
Learn to weld and get a grinder.
I used to make turbo kits and exhausts from fence posts/electrical conduit pipes from home depot back in the day
