This is the same thread you posted on the "other" Z33 site and I've replied a few times. Last post you mentioned having aftermarket headers and I asked if you had checked the clearances between the steering shaft and header on that side. But then you bailed several days ago and never replied- so have you checked on those clearances before you ask for more guesses from members of this site?

 

If you only feel the vibration under load and at certain RPMs, it could be related to the flywheel (this is the part that connects the engine to the gearbox).

Coincidental this came up. Hazarding a guess here without benefit of putting hands on but...

Motor mount is my best guess. Under decel load the motor may torque over (lean) just enough at that engine speed for exhaust (or other part) to touch on steering component(s) transmitting engine vibration back through to the steering wheel. Push the clutch in as OP indicated, no load, no lean. Matter o'fack, have a Porsche Macan in the shop right now getting new motor mounts due to very similar happenstance (at different engine speed but the characteristics of every engine is different so not identical)..

Funny, my Master Tech was talking to our other Shop Manager and overhearing, I suggested he check to see if he could duplicate it and if so, check the mounts. Yup, sheared through nearly all the way and the exhaust made contact with the steering box (or proximity).
