Default Why upgrade steering wheel?

What are the advantages of upgrading the steering wheel? Does it give a different feel when driving? Is it just the looks?

What are the disadvantages?

Thanks guys!

I did search this forum for it, but I didn't Google it. I specifically wanted to get the opinions of different Z drivers on what they found as an advantage and a disadvantage.

It's a b!tch to go onto a discussion forum and be b!tched at for discussing **** these days... Aint it?

Thanks bro.

If I was to install an aftermarket steering wheel and one day I decided to put the original steering wheel back on, can I get the airbag and the cruise control to work again?

Well this could go for about any car you replace a steering wheel with one that has an airbag/controls on it.

Oh I found this by searching. This could be a pro too.

yes you can retain and reactivate the airbag and CC functions when you reinstall your oem wheel. also when you do first remove the oem steering wheel be careful not to strip the bolt using the torx screw. your airbag light will also come on so you will need a resistor or need to rewire it.

please take the time to search next time. here are threads to answer your noob questions.

If you get a quick release, I suggest buying your girlfriend/wife/mistress/cousin a large purse. Before the excitement of her new purse wears off, tell her she'll be carrying your steering wheel from now on.
