Ok, got a ghost. Car just out of the blue, beeps and locks for no apparent reason. Changed FOBS 3 times, have actually heard it from inside the house. No set pattern, no set time, just when it decides to. All new batteries in 3 different fobs. Had my wife take them all to work even, still did it. Security system works fine otherwise. Fobs are one OEM and 2 aftermarket. Does it with all or none. Any suggestions.?

 

Random question - do any neighbors drive a Nissan?

Had a strange occurrence years ago at ZdayZ. A guy from GA in his '03 parked next to my '05. His key fob worked to unlock and lock my Z. However, my fob would not work on his Z. It was really odd. I thought I remember reading somewhere that there are possibly some "shared" frequencies.

Or, your Z just doesn't like to stay unlocked. It doesn't really sound like a fob issue, though.

 

Don't think it is a FOB either, just randomly beeps and locks. Have heard it late in night, looking at security system now.

 

I think there's a way to clear all stored FOBs in memory on the car's keyless entry system. But this one is strange, I suspect there's something more at work here. Do you have any aftermarket wiring on the car like a remote start, alarm system, or stereo?

No. I go to car shows evry weekend, have noticed it doesn't do it there, thinking maybe my garage opener may be involved some way. Still searching.
