Got my car back from the paint shop and was putting on my fresh bumper cover on and had to install the 3 bolts up into the fender, which requires pulling back the fender liner .

Upon closer inspection I see a lip on the fender liner that fits nicely OVER the bumper cover....but if you do that you have a thin line of black plastic over the bumper cover.

But I tucked the lip inside the bumper cover like this



But I am second guessing myself....I don't recall how it originally was, and since I'm the second owner in its life. I never saw it new.

How do you all have it?
