Do you know anyone that doesn't even know what a 350Z is?
I always tell people I drive a Nissan when asked (unless they are about to see it in which case I say it's a Nissan Z). Every once in a while I get a comment to the effect of:
"I saw you driving around the other day in that sports car, I thought you said you had a Nissan!"
or
"I saw you driving around the other day. You didn't tell me your Nissan was a 350Z. I thought you had an Altima or something."
Hehe, that's the point. The P-car is never mentioned.

Amazing - I've had the same responses. The most recent was a babe who cruised throught the parking lot at a business meeting site and stopped to check out my Z roadster.
"Is that a Porsche?" She was dumb, but cute, so I was kind.
Babes love this car.

I swear my mom has no idea what type of car I have.
She can be in the Z with me and we'll pass anything that looks
sporty, Audi TT, a Porsche, She says hey there's another one of your car.
pretty funny

Just imagine the situation in the UK then..... I ordered my Z in November last year and it arrived on Monday. Since last November, I have been on the 'look out' for any Zeds on the road. Result? One! One zed sighting in what is just over four months. Damn these things are rare over here!!!
I drove a demo last month around the city I live in and it was honestly a crowd stopper. Not just because it looks/sounds nice but they stop to look 'coz they just can't fugure out what the hell it is! (for info, they only started selling them here from October 2003 onwards)
UK exlusivity = 100% !

guess it's very rare at UK...
lol this reminds me the NSX people. they say ppl call their NSX "prelude with body kit" or "civic droped to the ground" because the owner just tell ppl they drive a honda. even after 14 years of production people still don't know what they look like. and never heard of such a car. I laugh my head off reading that post lol!
I get the "What is that?!" comments about 50% of the time I'm driving around. Some lady even asked my dad about that red "Mercedes Benz" we have on our road.
Most are quick to think it's some $80,000+ exotic... more power to me I think
I've also had girls yell "Nice Car!" as I/they drive by. Gotta love it.

That's a stupid question.
My Mother doesn't know what a 350z is.
My Grandmother doesn't know what a 350z is.
My Father doesn't know what a 350z is.
There are more people who don't know what a 350z is than there are who know.

I had a person the other day look at my Z and said, what is this thing? I told her, she replied "it does not even have a back seat" and I replied "it is a sport car, it does not need to have a rear seat". She looked puzzled at me at and said, "I dont get it, why would you buy a car like that"? She drives a mini van.
my mom knows what Z is. She bought an Altima and when she was at the dealer i was sitting in the ZR for the whole time. that's how she realize what the Z is. before that she was just like "that little New car" or "that new color(Sunset)"
