I thought that ANYONE would konw what a 350Z was...but today someone came up to my desk to ask me to scan something and saw the pic of my car that I have taped to my monitor and he goes "what is that?"...I told him its my Nissan 350Z....he never heard or saw it but he said it looked very beautiful and mentioned porsche like.

I just figured everyone knew that nissan has a 350z and knew what it looked like.

I got that once while I was filling up at the gas station.... Some older lady (~40's) pulls up to the pump next to me, while she's pumping she asks, "that's a beautiful car, what is it?"..... I told her what it was and she said she never heard of it before.... As I was leaving i could see her checking out my car with that "wow" expression on her face....

Nope...ive gotten more blank stares after telling folks that what i drive. They are usually like "I think ive seen those before."

They would KNOW it if they saw it.

My Mom knows it as "that little red car he has"....

My daugther (22) says I have a "Y... W... G... some letter car..."...

While around, most people stare (I think at the car, but maybe I am just ugly ), not many come up and ask...

Surprisingly, most of the people in my company could not tell you the model of the car that I drive (not my beater). Some might get the Nissan part. A few might say "that's one of those Z cars, right?"

well not everyone is car savy...but surprisingly when i told my parents i was thinking of getting a Z their eyes lit up like it was christmas, they even knew my last car had a 1.8L motor in it, kinda scared me when they knew that. Keep in mind i never discuss cars with them, and they dont show much interest in cars either.

My friend yesterday came from abroad. He looks at the Z and says : "Man that is one of hell of a car" I can't tell if it's a Ferrari, a Porsche what??

I actually like that part of the Z. Adds mystery. Can't wait to debadge it.

Not to ad to a stereotype that chicks know nothing about cars, but yes, every time a woman asks me what kind of car I bought, and I say a new 350Z, I get a blank stare, or a "Huh? what`s that?"

Just imagine the situation in the UK then..... I ordered my Z in November last year and it arrived on Monday. Since last November, I have been on the 'look out' for any Zeds on the road. Result? One! One zed sighting in what is just over four months. Damn these things are rare over here!!!

I drove a demo last month around the city I live in and it was honestly a crowd stopper. Not just because it looks/sounds nice but they stop to look 'coz they just can't fugure out what the hell it is! (for info, they only started selling them here from October 2003 onwards)

UK exlusivity = 100% !

Especially when my car was still on pre-order and when I first got the car I had tons of people asking me what it was including the usual Lexus and Porsche comments. I haven't run into many people who don't know what it is lately, they are becoming a pretty common sight in my area (2-3 a day). I know that at least everyone that I work with knows what it is, all the guys have come up to tell me they would love to have one and all the women tell me how their husbands want to buy one.

just like in THE RUN movie, where people just pass by the parked Z staring at it, but then again, that's when the car was just coming out...

Some lady (40's) pulled up next to me and told me "Beatiful car, i used to have one, back in the days!" I was like, "SCORE!!!", no, j/k, but i told her that yeah, it was a nice car, she asked me how i liked it and i told her i loved it and she told me to take care of it.
THE END

Just wednesday night I was walking out of a comedy club and I see one of the waitstaff on his cellphone ogling my car. I heard him actually say "i'm looking at the dopest car in the lot tonight"! I was pretty psyched, but the guy with the cobra parked next to me wasn't all that pleased.

Anyway, right after that as I'm pulling out some girl looks at my car and says "That's a Nissan?!?!"
