Vancouver, B.C. 350z Buyer
For those who ordered or going to order the Track Z, do you know when is the date of delivery?
I have talk to a guy, who has a higher rank than local nissan dealer and he's source is very reliable. He told me that the first track blk z for sale (not a demo car) will arrive on next April.
What is going on damn it, I have placed deposit on April and get da car 1 year after?

I ordered my Performance in mid-July and am expecting delivery in October.
I don't see any reason why Track models would take longer to come here. However, I have yet to see a track around in Vancouver? Anyone?
King, have you talked to your dealer about when you can expect your car? Maybe that car that this Nissan rep is referring to is one that you can buy off a lot that has not been ordered by one of us already!

Back in early August, I know that if you ordered then, the arrival dates that the dealers *claimed* ranged from December to March. But whether you ordered track, performance or touring didn't affect the arrival date.
I thank vanstorm may be right in that the dealer may have meant a track that is available from the lot.

Hi,
Do any of you western Canadian people have any ideas on what part of the month the Z is likely to arrive, or are there multiple shipments in a given month? I know the August ones were later in the month (here in Calgary), and I've heard that might just be an exception to the current and future dates.

Icepig, just saw your note on zcar.com too.
Regarding the August cars, from what I know they started building Z's in July. Take the 6-8 weeks lead time from production to delivery and that's why the cars got there late in the month. Z's only started showing up (in the US too) near the end of that month. There's multiple shipments each month. Boats can come in weekly with cars on them.

A few weeks ago I spoke with a dealer from Westside(?) Nissan in Edmonton (I forgot the dealership name) and they had a black track Z asking for $50000 CDN.
They were trying to get some after market leather seats installed because people held back from buying without them.
I wonder if it is still there......anyone from Edmonton actually saw that car or know what has ended up happening?

lol, Integra, funny you should mention that Z in Edmonton. I was talking to one of my sales reps in Edmonton a few minutes ago and he mentioned that he saw that same car the other day. He told me that it was still there.
Vanstorm, good stuff, it's still there
So if anyone is looking for a black track in Canada, you know where to find one.
I also hope this shows the dealers that selling above retail does not pay! All these crazy markups we hear are just rediculous, I think in reality the dealers are not having much success. The way it should be.

Speaking of markups, Ballz told me that our dealer has begun to mark up the Z's by $3K (we ordered from the same dealer)
I'll betcha now that the ads have started running on tv they've been getting a LOT of interest for the car. I think that we'll see this happen pretty much everywhere.

I heard a number like 500 but I think that is only for this year. Who knows how many they will bring next year but I think it will be alot more.
It's all sales strategy. The Miata had a similar story when the latest model first came out.
Also, I'm afraid to say that the way the economy is going, it will affect the demand from the already small pool of buyers for this type of car.
