Cool DVD navigation system

Can anyone give me some feedback as to their personal experience with the DVD-based navigation system in the 350Z? I was told by the company that manufacturers it for Nissan that unlike the CD-based systems available in other Nissan models which have touch sensitive screens, that the 350Z systems are not touch sensitive. That issue aside, assuming of course that it doesn't seriously impact using the system, what are your overall thoughts about the system?

Also, is there an annual cost associated with receiving new updates (a new DVD)?

It sounds like it works fine without the touch screen, but it would be nice if Nissan stopped lying about it on their website. My Acura has a touch screen, but the bad thing is about it is fingerprints. There is a charge for DVD updates. Anyone know how much?
