Default It's not all dependant on the site

To a certain extend, the actual site you're viewing can have very little to do with how fast it loads. You have to take into consideration far more variables, especially if you don't live fairly close to the server. (I think it's in washington st., but i dont know?). You have to consider all the servers, routers, and internet backbones between you and the actualy website server. Your ISP could be having a heavy day, could be under maintenance, a backbone could be down, etc etc. There's too many things to consider before you can pin down that its the actual page that's slower, especially after its been up for only a day or so. Your internet speeds to different addresses will vary from day to day. Maybe your computer is low on resources and is having to use virtual memory to load all the pictures? Just another variable...
I know that even at different times of the day the forum loads faster than other times. Average forum speed is the about the same for me, but the main page loads much faster...
I love the new page/server

The problem is the rendering of all the tables, like Tako already said.

The actual data is getting to your computer faster, but it's taking the browser longer to render because it's so much more complicated.

I would like a more boring version as well, even though the site does look slick...

I got 56k and it does seem a lil slower than before...

I always open up multiple pages at once... so loading takes awhile.

this is like a three legged sloth...slow. I'm on a t1 and what used to be fairly instantanously is taking a long time. from page one to page two took almost 10 seconds. I want my Z speed back!!

Thats cool ZBart, what ISP do u work for? I'm a soph. in computer engineering right now..
You have a higher upload speed than download? Nice.
Anyway, im not saying that its not the site, im just saying that it isnt for sure. Give it more time, another factor could be that a lot of the older forum was cached if you visited often, also speeding up apperent download times..
Rendering tables shouldnt be very demanding on your system to slow it down, depending on your system of course...
Anyway, Im just making some suggestions before tako spends some more time worrying about and changing it. It could very well be the new server..
