I dunno man..I doubt anyone here knows what it will sound like. I did a cutout on my old 2000 Camaro SS and it was so friggin loud. You can do it and see if you like it and if not just keep it closed forever. Or just get a new exhaust like Borla and never look back.

I know what itll sound like. Im sure everyone here that installed their own exhaust couldnt resist the temptation to start it up half way through.

it is LOUD. REALLY LOUD. way louder than any sane person could want for the streets. you WILL get pulled over for idleing past a cop. I never revved over 3000, plus the exhaust is way louder with a load and some throttle applied, which I also didnt get to hear. itd be a track thing only.

The cops around here really don't care about this type of thing; there are SO many trucks w/ flowmasters that are LOUD. I'm thinking of taking my midpipe off for a few days and just see how I like it around town.

I know what you talking about, heard the trucks with no mufflers.

to me, the Z sounded louder.

Id bet money youd loose HP anyway though. V6 needs some backpressure.

JIC has something like this comong out soon. it goes in the exhaust piping and acts like a silencer and push a button and it opens up.

I just think this is a cool mod because you get a button to push. I like things with buttons.

I got that for my old car -- Grand Am GT -- don't make fun. It was my first car, I wanted to mod it a little, needless to say, I never put it on, I realized the silliness of my ways.

This must be the "haulin' moonshine" option that I've been hearing about here in Tennessee.

the JIC thing, is like a flat metal circle that is in the exhaust...

for quiet, it stands verticle in the exhaust restricting some flow and thus quieting the exhaust...

then it lays horrizontal and lets exhaust pass freely and making the exhaust louder...

So the JIC thing is like a throttle body in the exhaust...?
