Question Pyrometer?

Does anone know if a pyrometer is the same as an engine temperature gage? If not what does it measure?

Pyrometer is the technical name for a high temperagure temp gauge. However usually you'll install a pyrometer in the exhaust manifold to measure exhaust gas temperatures or EGT's. Sometimes you'll install in to get cylinder head temperatures also.

Also known as a Thermocouple.

I am asking because I want to install a SC soon and am wondering which gauges to install. From what I have read most SC lean out the A/F mixture, which can cause detonation. I wanted to install a A/F guage and a boost guage, not sure if I need anything else. Thanks!

Wideband A/F gauge, boost gauge, and maybe a Fuel Pressure gauge.
