Color Dilemma
Ok so I am getting ready to order my Z and I am having the hardest time deciding what color to get. After seeing the LeMans Sunset in person the other day, I have decided to not trust pictures of the colors. (I didnt like the Sunset in pictures, now I love it) I am also thinking about the Daytona Blue but I havent seen one in person. The blue looks like the paint on my current car, an Electron Blue Pearl Civic Si. For those of you who the Daytona can you compare the two blues? Is the Daytona blue lighter or darker than the civic? For the rest of you, are there colors that you changed your mind about after you saw them in person. Thanks!

The Daytona Blue is more metallic! It seems much deeper. Anyway, I am very biased. To me, the only more distinct color is the Sunset Lemans.
I love Chrome Silver to. It is just to common!

I agree with you on the Sunset, I think it really makes the Z stand out. I have yet to see a CS, suprisingly. That seems to be a common color judging by the amount of photos I have seen of them. I think the CS looks nice in pictures but the Sunset and Daytona are more exciting colors. I was really hoping to hear that the Daytona Blue was a bit darker than my Electron Blue Pearl. It seems my choice is between Sunset and Daytona now.

I have seen all the colors now except Brickyard! Just saw my first White one today (photo attached).
If you want a Lemans Touring quick (like a week or so) then mine will be available.

I just got home with my spanking new DB, so that's my fav color.
It's been very over cast in MI all day and it looks a whole lot darker when the sun isn't shining. I'd compare it to the electron blue on the corvette today anyways.

I've seen the blue in person and didn't care for it. It's very bright/toyish looking. It's ok, but it will wear thin very quickly. I don't think I'd like that in my driveway 6 months after I bought it.
I've also seen CS (nice but oh so common, even in other cars) and LeMans (not bad, but more orange than pics made it seem). I'm not hoping to see the black, white and redline to see which of those I like best.

I actually got to see a Daytona Blue in person and it struck me as being darker than the Electron Blue of the Si. I would've been happy if it was the same exact color, but the Daytona looked somehow 'richer' to me.
Also, Le Mans in person looked pretty good. The pictures on Nissan's website make it seem brighter than I thought it actually turned out to be in real life.
Personally, I think one of the best colors for the Z is the Brickyard. It's just so classy and rich, and pretty rare too.

I saw a blue one on the road the other day. I couldn't stop to compare it to my Si, but I though it looked almost exactly the same.
Damn it looks good. but so does black, and silverstone.....
blue really stands out though

I've see every color in person and I have to say all are great. I was actually not impressed with the Daytona Blue because the pics I've seen of it are way different then in person. I'm not saying I didn't like it but it just wasn't what I expected. Brickyard was by far my biggest WOW because pictures don't do it justice at all.
My personal 3 favorite colors are,
LeMans Sunset
Redline
Super Black
