I just wish we could keep this bickering to a minimum, it really does nothing for the forum. Can't we just all bash the STi or Evo or RX8 together.

he is right -z is more expensive. For the same34 grand you get way more with infinityg35. And yes it hendles very similary. If you had two drivers racing one in g and one in Z - both stock - it would be down to the driver since they are both within the same specs of acceleration. God some ppl will never grow up.

 

The Z puts down more rwhp than a G35 6 speed, per the dynos I have seen on this site. The 350Z seems to be a couple of tenths faster than its sibling. As for handling, take both cars to a road course and the Z will excell. The Z suspension is tuned for less body roll and to be more dynamic, whereas the G is tuned more for sport/luxury.

and btw no one here is claming that they are THE SAME CAR. We are just saying that ig35c is the closest thing to a Z out there. That is all.

Im talking about real world driving here. The Z will leave a G on a actual roadcourse, you know tracks with turns. BTW...The G35 looks as fast in the slalom in mags because it has better factory tires.

 

What about a G35 6MT versus a non Track model Z ? Would the Z still smoke it on a roadcourse?

c'mon guys, this whole thing is kind of petty. It doesn't matter what kind of cars are out there, idiots are everywhere. I do own a G and I wont lie, when I see a Z on the interstate I compare the two cars..but that is more out of respect than it is anything else. If I didn't like the Z I wouldn't pay it any attention.

Both cars are great and very similar, matter of fact I rode in a Z for the first time this week and without hesitation I let the owner know it felt like his car pulls harder than mine.

 

I don't give a **** about luxury ... have fun with it. I wanted a sports car and thats what I got. I'm sorry, but any car with a Sedan counterpart is not a true sports car.

 

please do no classify G owners as snobby. I own a G and i respect everyone on the road. I dont care what kinda car you drive, as long as your curtious your all good. You can't say there is a group of car owners who does not have a snobby or an ******* driver. I've seen/meet Z owners witha chip on their should too but i dont complain because every car group has a a-hole of a driver. =)

 

also i would also like to note... if you see the japanese vid of the race battles, the one with the skyline, z, boxster, m3 and so and the other vid of the G, rsx-r, rx-8, wrx and yada yada yada you will see that the G yeild a faster lap time. But like i said, its all in the driver. The Z is tuned for a more sportier suspension but i dont think it makes it that much where you can say they excel. Its more like have a slight advantage if not none.

i love both cars equally, and if i were 30+ i would have gotten the G35C, but since i'm 25, i'm sticking with a sportscar.... we all love our cars no matter what, i think my car is better than the track model Z even though I have a base... its cause i love her!!!

and i had to comment on the poor-man-porsche thing... the 1990 porsche 944 would be the poor man's porsche, although I would never get a boxster... too cliche... just like the bimmer's...

j/k just trying to lighten up the mood here. Like previously stated, I would've picked up the G35c if I were a little older, but since I'm hardly 21, all I'd need was a two seater anyways (not trying to say G35c is for older people at all ) Both cars are hott though. And if somebody were to drive up to me and try to get my attention, it's not cuz i'm tryin to be a bad*ss if i weren't to look back... most people here are looking to race, and i'm not really into the street racing thing.
