I just bought a CS Performance today! YEAAAHHHHHH.

The dealer offered me the paint protection for $70 US...its normally $150 US, but there going to be rust proofing my car etc etc, so they will give it to me for cheap..

Should i take it? I have the entire Zaino kit on the way ($200 worth).

Do i need the paint protection if i Zaino my car?

any pros or cons?

Its probably a hoax anyway. Save your money. All I have is Zaino on mine.

 

The paint protection is pretty much a rip off, just a way to get the dealer a few more $$$$$ in their pocket. Don't pay for it.

 

someone explain what zaino is to me, and what its used for? like car wax, car soap? etc etc i never get zaino!!!!!!!! dunno what it is

 

Zaino is a wax/sealent and much more.

In the search box, type "Zaino" and have about 5 hours to spare to read.

Paint protection, scotch guarding, VIN etching, undercoating/rust proofing are all DEALER RIPOFFS! All they are designed for is to make the dealer more money! Don't get any of them!

I got the Undercoating, Rust proofing and Fabric Guard. I can still change it since the car is on a boat near Japan.

These are dealer rip offs?

I need rustproofing....i'm in Canada and plan on driving it in the winter.

The fabric guard and the undercoating is a rip off though?

 

All, rip-offs, guaranteed. Rust proofing does mor harm then good anyway. Generally a chassis has points where water and moisture escape. Rustproofing seals those, turning your car into a water trap.

If you're in Canada, I'd get a beater for the winter.

I don't think i could spend the $50K CDN on a car and not drive it year around.

So even in Canada the Rustproofing and undercoating is pointless...very interesting.
