Good News- Snow tires
Just looked up new tires on tirerack.com for the 350z. For the 18inch perfrm/touring 6MT wheels there is a Snow tire that fits the rim. From previous posts I beleived that the general consensus was that there was no 18 snow tire. Well its the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22. $211 a tire. Not too bad. Cheaper than new wheels and tires.

If you plan on keeping your OEM 18"s as your summer rims I would not advise you to run them all winter. The chances of sliding into a curb or hitting a large pothole increase dramaticaly in cold snow prone climates. More importantly the most important factor for traction in snow is the amount of weight that is applied to the road via the contact patch. Thus a wide rim / tire is hardly condusive to good snow traction. I would seek out the narrowest rim / tire combo available in the smallest size (16" if it clears the rotors) to optimze grip and ensure that your Z retains it's body panels in the shape that Nissan intended. Tire Rack should offer somoe rather cheap steel wheels for winter use that will fit these criteria.

I dont want cheapo steel wheels for 5 months.
So, will I do any damage to anything by running 225/45/18's all around for the winter. I do not want to screw up the ABS or traction controll systems. SO please let me know if this will be OK to do...I'm not asking if it is ideal, just if it will work.
