Frickin dealer!
I went back to my old dealer, where I bought the car and used to get all the work done, since a seat warranty part came in, and since the weather had warmed up, my car started to creak again. So, i asked them to look at it (again) for me.
Well, twice now, I have to explain to this dealer (new service guy again!) what NISMO parts are, and why YES they are covered under warranty. Hey, see those parts hanging in your parts department?? THAT's what is on my car!
I have this stupid groan in the left rear, that the car has been making forever, but this is the first time the dealer has been able to replicate it. It happens when I pull into my driveway every day (elevation change while turning, the chassis flexes). Well, now they got the car to do it, but claim that it is cause of the nismo suspension. Grrrr.... I've brought it in well before I ever put the nismo stuff on, and I know it is not that; I suspect it to be a seam creaking.
On the plus side, they have now been able to replicate it, so I have proof that it does it. I'd hate to start thinking about lemoning it, but I will keep taking it in until they fix it, and if now, an '04.5 with the changes would be nicer than my 04...
Anyway, just wanted to vent. They didn't fix it this time, and I will try another dealer that I've had better luck with. *sigh* How can the service people not know what NISMO is??

My dealer doesn't even have any Nismo parts in stock so I couldn't even begin to imagine what would happen if you went to my dealer. How far are you from Performance Nissan? I'm sure you already know they're big into aftermarket parts. Excuse me for my ignorance if it's further from where you're located than I thought (I'm not from SoCal if you can tell
).
).
Yeah, I wish they were closer. I am going to try and go to another dealer that carries Stillen and wolf stuff as well as Nismo stuff, and they've been great so far. I only went back to this dealer since they had already ordered a part, and the creaking happened to be happening so I asked them to try and track it down.
