I'm confused. It's a G35, but it has a Nissan logo in the steering wheel and a Nissan badge on the car key?

The same principle of no Acura in Japan, only Honda... no Lexus, only Toyota... you get the drift. Acura, Lexus, Infin, et al. are luxury divisions of the respective companies.

Oh, and the G35 in Japan is known as the Skyline as the 350Z is the Fairlady Z.

Toyota, however, is starting to introduce the Lexus brand name into Japan now.

I'm confused as well...

I don't see the paddle and haven't heard anything about Nissan offering a SMG package on either the Skyline (G35) or Fairlady Z (350z) in Japan. It would be sweet tho!

IF THATS REAL, I hope someone is working on a Z/G35 in the states to allow us to duse the paddles. In an e46 BMW 3 series its an easy mod to put paddle shifts on if you have an auto.

It isn't anything like SMG; it just triggers the auto to shift. I imagine you could order the parts from Japan, then wire the paddles to the console shifter.
