What Kind of Gas do You use?
There's an Exxon station a couple of miles from my house that, for about 4 years, has charged roughly the same price for gas (~$1.9x) for Premium. With other stations now charging upwards for $1.89 a gallon, I wonder if the Exxon station will raise its prices when everyone else does this summer.

And my Exxon (not the one I mentioned above) is one of the stations with pumps that don't like Zs, and since Jersey doesn't allow Self Service, I get annoyed when the guy argues with me when I say it isn't really full and he just needs to turn the nozzle upside down.
Does anyone really think this matters? I would like to see a study on the long term effexts of different brands.
FYI - Mobil had to remove its "drive your engine clean" slogan due to false advertising of its premium gasoline.
The octane matters, but only to a point, get the reccommended 91-94 octane, but why bother driving out of your way to BP, or SHell, or wherever? I dont see the point. ALthough, mental advantage is like 20RWHP, isnt it?

Before the recent gas price hike I was using Chevron 91octane (being the highest commonly avaliable gas in California). Now.. Autoport 91 Octane at my local Navy Exchange. They get their gas from Citgo, and their 91 octane costs the same price as 87 octane Chevron/shell/Unocal. Haven't noticed any performance difference
don't know how reliable this is but it seems pretty good

I was never aware that JerZey doesn't allow self service. Wierd!!! but now that you mention it, I can't remember pumping my own gas in NJ, I always get Full service there but never knew why. In NY we pump our own gas and pay 30 cents more a gallon.
