Default Too showy?

Thinking about personal plates...was gonna go with 3fittyz but now that I'm getting a body kit and no other Z around will be like it, I was thinking Z2NV

That too pretentious? WOuld you think "what a loser"

vanity plates imo are a no no, makes me think the owner has too much time, also, can be a potential cop magnet (ie, 8urvpr or fst350)

Unfortunately, plates that come across as "arrogant" or "pretentious" often set you up as a target for vandalism....If you want to get a vanity plate, make it one that doesn't make you look like you walk around with your nose in the air, which "Z2NV" does in my book..I'd pick something else....

3fittyZ may not quite be safe. fitty is slang, and people still may think of you as some arrogant dude that thinks he's badass with his Z calling it 3fitty.

Id come up with a less flamboyant name.

I want to get 88B8B8

no one would ever be able to read the plate.

Im not serious, just think itd be funny. well, its funny in my head, in real life itd just be stupid.

Z2NV = a Z to Envy ...

anyway, I've never been a big fan of vanity plates so I say don't get them cuz it makes your car stand out sometimes for the wrong reason and could get you into trouble especially if you do something that offends people

Default Yes, be careful..........

I concur with several others here - you want to be careful with the plate you chose. Arrogance, cockiness, etc. is just inviting vandalism - unless you can keep your eye on your car 24-7. I thought about a vanity long & hard before finally doing it. Wanted one for the 1st time with my Z - I decided to go with something that was just middle-of-the-road........not too "personalized" or snobbish or all the other things - just wanted to point out the
Z-ness.

Just my opinion..........

I have vanity plates on 2 other cars and thought long and hard about distinctive plates for my roadster. I went so far as to check for my initials---which were available. I really enjoy the idea of being annoymous with the Z. I think that I really prefer no vanity plate---even if the perfect one (like MY350Z) was available. Much more suttle, and my more classy.

If I were still in my 20's, I probably would be thinking differently. But in my 40's, I want to downplay the idea of my car being my life. (sorry, I did not mean that to be a slam, just my thoughts)

Well, I'm 41 and I have a vanity plate (DR BONZ-Z), but my car IS my life!!!

What do "TETZUO" and "88B8B8" mean. You'll have to forgive me if it is that "leet" crap. As an official "OLD guy" I am under no obligation to try and understand it!

I really enjoy the idea of being annoymous with the Z.
*LOL* Annoymous in a Z roadster! Me too. Especially with the burnt orange seats. *LOL* Yeah right. And Shaq wears sunglasses so nobody recognizes him.
I went with ZRDZTR. It's my first vanity plate ever. I have never seen another Z in my area. There are also no other 911's or FX's here either. I don't blend in well with the F150's that the country folks drive.

IMO.. leave the vanity plates for the vette and porsche owners. If your going to go for it.. make SURE you dont make it seem cocky. The best thing to do is make it something laughable that shows personality rather then arrogance.
