Default Alignment issues

My car arrived with the alignment out of whack. I have driven it sparingly (about 450 miles) cause I dont want to ruin the tires. Here's the problem - my dealership says they can't fix my alignment here in town because of my tires/rim sizes, and would need an adapter for their alignment system in order to do so. Has anyone else had this problem (or something like it)? Their fix is to take it up to Tucson on a flatbed (70 miles each way) to Thoroughbred Nissan, since apparently they have the adapters. It just seems weird to me - I mean, Corvettes have tires just as big or bigger, right? My Service Manager says they have clamps for the inside of the tires, but not that will grip the outside (based upon the rim and tire make, size, and shape) in order to do the alignment.

I have a Touring 6MT with the 18" rims - does this mean that EVERY Nissan dealership will need to order the aligment adapters so they can fix the alignment for Z's with the 6 spoke 18" rims? Any dealers out there know about this problem, or am I somehow being misled? Thanks.

Default ?

Did they do measurements and actually see it was out?

I've noticed on mine while driving and stoping on rough and or uneven road it will some times pull quite a bit, but only under those conditions. When I stop on nice FLAT smooth surfaces there
is never any pull whatsoever.

I'm thinking it's the sensitivity or quickness of the steering.

My wheels are 17" so I would imagine the 18" to be even more sensitive.

Does your problem seem constant on every stop or pull on every road surface?

Default how small is your dealership???

I just stopped by Thoroughbred on a layover to see if they had touchup paint. Its a very small dealership, they've only sold 5 Zs. I'm surprised they would have the right equipment already.

I did a search for this topic as I have been having the same problem - my Z pulls to the right. Not too badly but still noticeable and on any road surface. I've only had my car for less than a week so I'll wait it out just a bit but I plan on taking it into dealership soon if it continues to get worse or doesn't magically correct itself.

So far the two people with the problem are the onces that have the Touring Edition. Make sure you put down the edition you have so if there is a trend, all of us can see it.
