Default Baseline dyno #'s

The search feature seems to be down, so for anybody that did baseline dyno's please post your hp/tq #'s here. I want to compare the #'s to what I got.

You know what would be a good thing to add to this section is how you broke in your car. This would be if you followed the manuals break-in exactly, were easier, or hard on the engine.

I did two 5th gear pulls. I got 235hp/232.7tq. Chart and video to come in the first issue of Project ActiveTuning.

They way I broke in my car was I drove it under 4k rpms (mostly under 3) for the first 1,200 miles....I also never went over 80MPH. BUT, every 200 miles or so, I would run the car semi-hard.

242hp/238tq SAE smoothing set to 3. Drove it like I stole it off the lot.

Mine was 227/216 with nothing but a popcharger and 19inch Volk GT-C's. This was SAE corrected HP. According to other participants, the dyno was reading about 10hp lower than normal.

My breakin procedure was very gentle for 300 miles, than daily pulls to about 5K RPM, gradually getting closer to readline as 1200 approached. I'd say I broke it in slighty harder than normal.

can we get a couple guys to chime in who were over 240 hp stock? If the trend keeps going on the harder break-ins are creating more power, that would be useful to a lot of new owners.

i think if you driver it harder during break-in period then the "nice and easy" till i hit 1k miles, the car will definetly perform better IMO cause it is use to being driven that way, cars adapt to their drivers. Its a machine and they tend to change according to its user.

238 hp / 233 TQ.

I would say I was easy on the car till about 1200 miles. Never went above 5K. But I still had fun with it.

Uh yeah....break in......I tried to limit the amount of Redliining I did untill about 800 then my foot got tired of me and started to open it up. I haven't dyno'd but I did race a 04 maxima yesterday going from Irvine to San Diego, and i blew his doors off like he was standing still.

We we're both waiting for the light to turn green at the off ramp. we launched, he stayed with me for about a 1/2 a sec and then I creamed him. I was thoroughly pleased. I still like racing little fart rockets (aka hopped up honda civics and such) I laugh every time.

Default Break-in

I tried to keep the RPM's at or under 3000 for the first 1000 miles. After that I changed the oil and would then occasionally go up to 4500. For the most part, now I keep the rpms at or under 4000 and I am up to a little over 10K miles.

Break-in was very gentle, till about 5k then I started to be a little more rough, but for the most part I don't the Z in rage constantly. I had about 26,000 miles on the car when I did my baseline pull. Only had the Injen CAI, which I've heard adds HP, takes away HP, or doesn't do a thing and looks pretty. Best pull was number 4 out of 6... 247.4 HP and 245.3 TQ.
