just realized while getting gas today that all my caps were missing. I have no idea why anyone would want to take them. maybe cuz its silver? its only about $2 at a auto store anyways. i guess its just the principle that they stole it. Anyone else had this happen to them? just curious

Thats why I bought the nismo locking valve stem caps from courtesy nissan. Even the dealer couldnt get them off

 

yeah, mine were stolen from a golf course in costa mesa, you would think people that can afford to golf can afford some silver caps. The car parked next to me was a fixed up IS300 with Red Bride seats, i can't believe he stole my caps but he and my caps were gone by the time i was done golfing. I suspect him because i parked off to the side and he was the only one next to me. Cheap *****.

Those are the ones I have. I put them on almost imediately after buying the car. I put a set on my Z31 too. They are high quality and a real pain in the a$$ to take off until you get use to them.

 

someone freakin stole my stock black crappy ones a while ago...like what the heck? and i was pissed just cause of the principle of it. like who conciously does that. I was probably more mad that there was someone that close to my car and touching it. at least they didnt steal my antenna, im very surprised thats not gone yet.

I personally think its worth the $25-30 for the locking caps. Worry free part.

I had my right front cap stolen about a week ago. Just one????? Not two or even three. Only one.

 

There must be a huge pile of these things somewhere. They're being stolen all over the world every day. Where do they go?

I gave up on nice caps a while ago and just use the black plastic ones. They still disappear occasionally but not as often. I'd try the locking ones but at ~$50 inc shipping I don't think it's worth it.
