Default Extra Dealer Charges?

I was curious how many people got charged extra for a "protection package" or various other amenities. Is it easy to get it knocked off?

No extra charges. I actually got a free set of wheel locks and slash guards which I didn't order, but were on the car when it arrived at the dealer.

Sounds like you got a good deal there. Has anyone tried to get them to throw anything free in (mats, wheel locks, etc.) before the car came in?

I'm in upstate NY right now but I plan on moving to Southern Cal next summer so I was trying to see what the prices were at both places. Seems every dealer in Rochester is doing MSRP, no if/and/or/but's about it. The two dealers I called in San Diego were selling for higher than that, though they didn't spell out any reasons, cause I figured I'll just get it here. A buddy of mine Chicago said they were selling about $3K higher too.

Most dealers here were selling at MSRP during the preorder program, but I'm not sure where they are at now. I know Star Nissan in Niles, IL had a cancelled preorder car a few weeks ago that they were selling at MSRP.

At the dealership I ordered mine, I heard some guy returned his Black Touring after 500 miles because he didn't care for the color. They already have a $6K markup on it.

I just talked with a guy at Fergus in Skokie and he quoted me MSRP.
