Track time in VA

VA area folks,
Since I bought a Track, I'd kind of like take it TO the track. What's the scoop on track days at either Summit Point or VIR? I'm not interested in 1/4 mile track stuff, I want to get it on a road course. Are there open track days, or are they only sponsored by car clubs, driving schools, etc. Where do I go to find out about open track days, if they exist.

yeah i kinda wanna track the car too, but the only place i can think of would be Maryland International Raceway (MIR) which is now open on saturday's for anyone who wants to come out. Not sure on the details or anything, but maybe we should get a few people from the NOVA region to roll up together...

get in touch with Mhoward1 on this board. His Z club is having a big event april 10 at VIR. its going to be my first one at VIR!
i think the one for april is full but there are a lot of clubs that have event there. also check the racing and regional section of this board for updates
