The JmanZ 2002 Fall Tour
I'll be driving ther California coast line next week, I'm wondering if any of you out there might want to meet up for a beer or something at some point?
I start my tour in San Francisco on Monday Sept 30th, driving down the PCH to Newport Beach. I have a good friend in Newport so I'll be there until the 4th, when I start my trip back up to Palo Alta to meet up with many of the My350z.com members and Takao at his club Friday night.
It would great to meet up with any of you, those that have cars and want to do some photos with a Redline 350Z, those that do not have cars and wish to see this bad little beast. The model I will be driving is a Redline Enthusiast without NAV.
I'd love to arrange some photo shoots with as many 350Z owners as possible. As for meeting places, I am open to suggestions. Probably be better to set a location and time and meet there so everyone can meet together.
Any suggestions?

Jay, How did you find the hook up to get a Redline Z?
I read in a thread a few days ago you were trying to find one to rent?....if you found one where was it and how much a day are they charging ya for such an awesome road trip in a sweet Z.

I am renting from a place called Specialty Rentals . They are a division of National Car Rental and the 350Z's are available in the San Fran area only right now. Thus the reason I am flying to San Fran and driving down the coast.
Price wise, the car isn't exactly cheap to rent. I'm sure it's cheaper though than it would be in Las Vegas. Grand total for the car, insurance and all will be around $1300 area for five days. Then there is the extra milage fee they charge of .50 cents per mile over the alloted 100 miles per day. I expect to have a few miles to cover when I return.
They have three Z's, a Chrome silver, a Daytona blue and a Redline.
For me it was an easy decision as to which car to request. I might just make an unannounced visit to NNA in Carson while Iam in the area. Jeff (Scafremon)... want to accompany me?
Tim, I am looking forward to meeting you and your wife Ellie. I'm not much of a wine drinker though... to be honest, I'm not much of a drinker. I am not sure where I'll be staying on Friday in San Fran, but I will be sure to give you a call. Check your PM... you have my cell number now.
I am leaving Newport about 9:00am on Friday to head back up the PCH to San Fran. It's a seven hour drive or so I have been told so I expect to arrive around dinner. Mind you... that seven hour estimate wasn't done in a 350Z so maybe I'll be there around lunch. (jokes)
I will be at Takao's Friday night for sure, and then my flight leaves Saturday @ 12:45pm. I will be taking hundreds, if not thousands of photos of the trip so when I get back, I'll have quite the gallery to share with everyone.
Grey Matter... I am coming down the PCH through Ventura, not sure on time though being that I have never made the trip. After I leave Ventura, it's PCH all the way down past Santa Monica down to Newport Beach.
I just hope the weather is nice!

Hey, I'd love to see you, Jay, and I'll bring my Daytona Blue Performance. Are you going to be near the Santa Cruz /Monterey area on Saturday (Oct 26)? If so, I'll come to you and maybe we can meet for lunch/beer/photos or whatever. If not, I'll see you at Takao's club on Friday Oct 4.
(Also, on Sunday I am getting my 3M clear bra installed by "krinkov" up in Petaluma (North of SF), so if you are there on that day we could meet up there or even at Jeremy's shop.)

I'ld love to meet up with you in Newport Beach, however on October 3rd and 4th I take step 3 of my medical licensing exam. (it runs from 12noon - 8:30pm on thursday and friday)
maybe another time.
if you need suggestions on places to go in Newport let me know..

That was quick,last week when you said it was roadtrip time I thought you were kind of joking.Enjoy the rental cant wait to here your recap.Thank the lord for specialty rentals at least my family does,Im much more fun to be around now that I know what im waiting all this time for.

Well, let's just say plans have changed in a very big way. haha
I'll be @ LAX at about 2:05 and then in a 350Z shortly there after. Not a redline like I'd wanted...but that's alright, a 350Z is a 350Z.
Off to Seattle tomorrow, then back here to Spokane on Sunday...check the board, post a few messages, pack and get sleep for my flight on Monday.

If there are any 350Z owners or people that for whatever reason have not been able to see a 350Z as of yet in the Los Angeles area, PM ME and I'll try and set something up.
Maybe on Wednesday night or Thursday in the day at a set location I can show up and bring the car for those that wish to see it, go for a ride in it etc.
