Saw The New Z!!
Figuratively...
In the magazine called Speed (published by Road & Track; I think it is their "tuner" version) it showed two pictures. One pic. was the version produced by Nissan Motor Corp. They Dubbed it the Fairlady Z Type E. The other was a Nismo version, I believe they called it the Nismo S-Tuned. The article stated that both models will be produced. The Nissan Corp. version had a completely new front end. 7" longer then the current 350Z. It reminded me of a Porsche (I think the 996). It looked much more aggresive and sporty (very nice). The rear was also stretched. I thought the rear looked terrible. The Nismo rear-end design looked awsome. Agressive/sporty and integrated the exhaust with very clean lines.
Sorry, no hard core numbers provided. They mentioned that the car would be lighter, and have better handling suspenion. They gave a huge range for horse power, 300 to 500 HP. I could not believe the price...$60,000. For that much money it better have at least 500 HP!

I forgot to mention:
The article stated that both versions would be for sale in the "Spring". I was in a rush to catch my movie, so I did not get a chance to buy or memorize the article. I don't know if they meant this spring or spring of 2005. It seems like it would be too late for spring 2004.

the hp on those 2 versions are only a few more hp than stock
i dont think the fairlady type -E has any more hp
the S-tune has the nimo exaust , an more freeflow intake filter and intake tube.
i think the #'s werw somewhere between 296 and 300 even

both nissan has no plans to bring over this extended body style.
now the S1 parts on the car might make their way over but not the car itself. i was explaining it to someone else had i put it like this: its kinda like nascar where car manufactuer has to have a production car that meets organization requirements. like a 2 door taurus or intrepid see the GT-R R34 isnt being raced in the jgtc GT 500 class. and in original form the Z didnt make the requirements to compete in that class. last year they competed in the GT300 class with out big modifications (maybe a wide body kit) so for the GT500 they had to make a production car with the right specifications. so the end result is the S-tune and the Type- E.
but i would expect to see replica body kits fairly soon!!!

here is the rear end
it has got more mixed results than the front
like i said earlier. when this gets out there a little more there will be a demand for the kit and some one will make it.
the only thing one might want to consider is a stock exaust wont fit since the rear is extended. the s-tune pictured here uses a special nismo exaust just for this car.
but i wouldnt mind having the front bumper my self. notice in the pics the two lines in the hood are continued in the nose. that looks awesome!
