That will be cool. I live in BeachPark(north of waukegan). When are you getting your z? I should have mine back in the early may, its at ultimate z getting painted lamborghini orange. If you are in the streamwood area stop by ultimate z and check it out, it should have the motor out of it now. I'll save you on the buddy list and pm you when its done.

I managed to swerve out of the way so he starts slamming on his breaks for no apparent reason. I move over to the left lane, not speeding just keeping pace and he's got this S#!T eating grin, gets behind me and starts revving his engine. The whole time I'm like "WHY??".

I can't understand peoples animosity towards 350Z owners, especially from other import owners. I mean it's not as if by owning a Z I think I'm better than anyone else, and the car is affordable enough that the average person can get one. Plus they are just so damn sweet looking...

Still the positive attention far outweighs the negative. The average person will love the Z and won't mind telling you so as long as you don't seem snobby and unapproachable. I love any excuse to talk about my car so I go well out of my way to receive those compliments.
Also keep in mind that one of these idiots (such as last night's civic) can cause you to end up wrecking your Z, and that would just be a shame. You know your can beat them, they know it also and it's much easier wrecking a $20k car than a $36k 350Z. Why chance it?

This is craziness, I would do some damage if some of this happened to me.

Not sure what damage but something.

My thing is everyone wants to race, I got mom's with kids in the back of their minivan trying to take me off the line.

It's pretty funny, but I have the exact opposite thing happen to me. No one has ever tried to race against me, but I think it's because the area in which I live. If I see some riced Civic, I just continue driving as I normally would. Sometimes when I'm in the mood of going fast in corners hard-braking and what not, there have been two times where the people behind me try to do the same (are they thinking I'm racing with them ).

It's absolutely rediculous. We both are very much interested in the same hobby, but because my vehicle was made in Japan & not the U.S. you have to be an a$$hole to me. Whatever, grow up!

I agree most people that drive imports are real enthusiasts. People that drive American cars think they are enthusiasts. They put on a set of flowmasters, a coat of turtle wax on their mustang and all of a sudden they are Jay Leno or Tim Allen.
