Stay away from Capitol and Stevens Creek except at end of months. I've heard good things about Dirito Brothers and Hilltop Nissan. But if you're confident in dealing with sales pressure, Capitol and Stevens Creek have the best selection.

I just bought (well, leased) a Touring 350ZR from San Rafael Nissan. I must say, I like the San Rafael dealers (my previous VW Jetta was from Sonnen up there) -- they tend to treat you with more respect and less BS, in my experience. Ian at San Rafael Nissan was very good, and they claim to (and do, as far as I can tell) have tons of cars available compared to other dealerships.
I don't know much about bargaining -- as far as I could tell, the market for ZRs, especially loaded, is constrained enough that you won't get far. There are a bunch loaded up with lots of NISMO stuff (which I couldn't care less about) that they'll happily sell to you for lots of cash (and "can't" remove).

Funny to hear about all these people buying from SR, which is in my old backyard (Marin resident for over 14 years). But ended buying in SF. I guess the persistence of the Internet manager in SR just didn't try quite hard enough...
I hear that Sonnen BMW in SR is the worst (for BMWs, obviously), from a lot of sources. If you look even remotely young, don't even think about test driving anything.

im not usually very adamant on this board, but i've been to alot of the dealerships and BY FAR the best was dealing with McKevitt in berkeley. Tony, the manager, Ralph and Messai are all super chill laid back no BS liberal berkeley guys. no hard sell at all. went i went in to test drive Tony just gave me the keys and said off you go, dont kill the car. total trust. super super easy to deal with. tell him what you want to pay and they'll pretty much do it if it's reasonable. i was pretty specific, i wanted a black automatic. at the time black autos were scarce so i told him i'd pay 1500 under MSRP just get me the first one asap. he did, no problems at all. the guys in concord BS'd a deal, wasted time basically. and wanted 5k markup, talked down to 1500 OVER MSRP. really old school sales tactics, totally not with the times. Go to Mckevitt, you wont regret it.
good luck.
good luck.

Wow, the sun was sooooo hot this afternoon I had to wear a hat, since the top was down. Try Serramonte Nissan, I got my roadster for $1000 UNDER msrp, second choice would be McKevitt in Berkeley, but they are a small dealership and didn't have a choice of models/colors. Almost everyone else was demanding $$$$ OVER msrp. The Gen'l manager (Amir) at Serramonte (cell 415 559-4042) will deal, he is looking to turn over his inventory, that way he gets more cars. He sets the prices and orders the cars.

No hassles - tell him what you want - test drive the car - sign the check - and your done. He charges a flat rate.
