Might sound crazy, but is anyone thinking of going all out and getting a custom paint job? I am seriously considering painting my Z like Lambo yellow.... gotta an awesome painter here in NYC, know he'll do a great job. Think it would be pretty hot to have the only yellow (not Lemans) Z in the country. I would top it off with two-toned black and yellow interior seats
What does everyone think?- besides that I'm crazy

A good custom job is very expensive. Not only is it a lot cheaper to paint cars on the assembly line, but you have the extra step of sanding off the existing paint, and it's very important to do it well, or the paint job will not look right. And who can you trust enough do something right?

A metalic yellow like on the M3 or the Murceilago would be awesome! My advice, if you get it painted, don't wash, wax or even drive the car for 90 days after wards. The aftermarket finish hasn't fully cured yet, and trust me, waiting 90 days is worth it.

This is my personal preference. NO offence. After I say that, I say too bright yellow car reminds me a subway sandwich.
One car I can compromise wiht yellow is Ferrari.... And I saw some metalic yellow on some cars and it was ok..

Great choice, I love yellow. Considering I was thinking of buying the S2000 the only color I would have liked was the yellow but here in Can. they only seem to like 3 basic colors. Red, Black and Silver. If Nissan ever releases a yellow Z I'll trade in for sure.

I think Nissan should definitely come out with yellow next year. If it looks anything like the above pics, it will be an amazing looking car. I have considered painting my 90' 300TT yellow, but I ended up getting an Imola Yellow Audi S4 Avant. One yellow car is enough! I don't know if I would re-paint a new car, but if you have the $$ and the time to do it RIGHT, go for it! You will be unique. BTW, Ferrari Fly Yellow is my favorite.
