Default Black car has stains!

I have a problem... Birds love to crap on my car and no matter how much I clean it, it leaves stains on my black paint. Like it eats the clearcoat and leaves a dull spot where it was. How can I restore the luster? I tried wax, and no results. I tried rubbing compound and made it even worse. My car is polk-a-dotted now. What can I do???

A car cover or a garage is the only thing you can do.
As for the stains, a good detailer may be able to help you out. My good friend has a volvol xc90 and had bird dropping stains and my detailer go them out, you can even see a single stain. My friend was thrilled to say the least

try a detailer. The rubbing compound made it worst because it usually lightens the area. I've found Meguiars Step 1 or Meguiars Paint Cleaner can restore the area the rubbing compound damaged.

ps: Dont let the bird crap stay on to long. Get a car cover as recommended

was there any wax on the car? it should protect it a bit, but it sounds like you didn't have any. I had tree sap, bird doo, bunch of bugs on my car everytime i go to my cousin's house an hour away. I carry a bottle of quick detailer spray in my car and i wipe them off as soon as i get the chance. a waxed car makes it easier to clean it off IMO. I had a bird doo stay on for 2 days without any stains. have you tried any polishes?? I had some (hard) water stains on my hood and it took it right off. a paint cleaner might also be worth trying out as the previous poster said

I haven't waxed my car for at least 6 months. I'm going to do it Sunday. Maybe that will help out.

a professional detailer can get that film of bird crap off, what you need is not only wax but a powered buffer/waxer, with that rpm on those suckers it can get most of it out.

just spend 100 to get it professionally done, thats what i do once a month, i also wax it personally once a month.

good luck

Do a search on Autopia.
Awesome site for detailiing, lots of information. You should be able to repair the etching yourself. Good luck!Autopia

First try Polishing compound--saturate your detail terry towel. Rub lightly. This should blend the paint and disapear the spot. Then use Mother's or Mequires Swirl remover w/ a buffer. I have a buffer and man, it beats waxing by Hand. When you rub, go in a circular motion. Keep looking at the spot to amke sure it is disapearing. I also use a scratch remover called KWIK Scratch and this works better for removing stains. A good way to avoid spoting on your paint is to first use a Wax cleaner, sealer, polish then wax. This will build a layer incase you have this problem or when you see bird ****, immeditaley wash it or soak it with a napkin or paper towel. This will leave a "slight mark but will wash off later.
