Engine will be revved up automatically for downshifts? At exactly what moment? When you put in lower gear or when you drop the clutch?

Won't it slowdown downshifts when ECU will interfere with drivers own actions (trying to help of course)?
There is no Clutch, they are talking about an automatic.

I'm just glad there is no mention from nissan themselves of getting rid of Daytona Blue. I think I may have just made my decision of which car I am picking up in the spring.

Damn! I immediately started thinking about F1 technology for matching revs for manual gearbox

any idea when the 05 models will be available at the dealers? Seems like Nissan starts building the new model year starting July.

I keep hearing that there will be some major upgrade in 05 that may include increase in HP and upgrade of interior.
I emailed Nissan with the same question. Here is their answer
copied and pasted:

"Thank you for taking the time to personally contact us about your interest in Nissan products.

The 2005 Nissan 350Z is currently scheduled to go on sale sometime in the Fall of 2004. Ordering availability is at the discretion of your local Nissan dealership.
