2005 availability and changes
any idea when the 05 models will be available at the dealers? Seems like Nissan starts building the new model year starting July.
I keep hearing that there will be some major upgrade in 05 that may include increase in HP and upgrade of interior.

The rumor is that Nissan will start taking orders around August 2nd. If that's the case, expect a month or two before they are available. Again, I don't believe there's any confirmation to that.
Also, everything you keep hearing about major changes is just a rumor. Based on Nissan's history, don't expect big changes until 2006. But 2005 will be the 35th anniversarry, so who knows.

How much are they increasing the HP on the Altima?

If they increase hp on the G, it will be too close to the Z that they would HAVE to do something.
Also, I heard they are making "the run part 2" This one takes place in the phillipines. The police will have golf carts

Difficult to make a good run through Manila with its traffic. I know a guy that owns a new 911 porche there and he is constantly frustrated with pot holes and it bottoming out. I was just there last week and did not see a 350Z on the roads or in a show room.

i think the allitma is getting around 5hp and i havnt heard any #'s on the Altima SE-R. but i agree that if the G gets an even 300 then the Z should get 305 or so.
also did any body read the article in compact sports car where the Z with nismo exaust . headers, cams and CAI only got 10 more hp!!!!!! im just bringing this up cause were talking hp increases.

It seems the new engine is going to get in the range of 300 to 350 BHP, have side vents, a new front bumper, side skirts, and a cool spoiler(on the Nismo one).
