last night ran over...
i was not even going 5 mph and didn't see this huge rock. it sounded like the tranny dropped out of the car, but everything seems fine. anyone know what the first thing would be to get hit. please tell me the drive shaft is hidden too well for that to have been hit. hopefully just the heatshield on the cat or something minor. thanks for any info guys

If you can and have the resources, jack up the car and look over every inch of the undercarridge just to make sure there is no damage. That's what I would do anyways. More than likely you're ok.

well, i finally checked it out and the problem (whatever it is) is on both sides. it's right under the drivers and passengers seat...looks like it served it's purpose...i think it's just to protect the underbody of the car, but also looks like it supports the exhaust. any info would be great, but it mangled these black pieces on the sides. thanks guys
Dont sweat it bro. So many people are hitting/running over things in this car it never ceases to amaze me. Even former z32 owners have trouble hitting things with this car because it sits so low. Plus the design of the car (tub design of bumpers etc) makes it hard to see anything.
the only thing i was really worried about was that i looked at this old picture somebody posted when asking about jacking points and it wasn't on that car so i figured it was just on the roadster for chassis support or something. any more info?? thanks everyone
