"I have neither ridden in or driving the G35 - but my new 04 Z has plenty of Growl and roar! Had a 300 ZX - loved the sound of the motor - but it was not as great as the Z . It as a 2+2, road beautifully , handled terrific, was 5 speed stick of course - but was a differenct feeling auto than the Z . They are both great cars. As you know the G30 is a Maxima with an $8,000 name plate on it.

Wow, don't even know where to start with this comment. I suggest doing some more research before posting up this junk. It's the I35 that's the rebadged Maxima. I drove one as a loaner a month ago, and was pretty impressed. Nice, plush ride, if that's your thing. Reminded me of my dad's Park Avenue, in terms of ride quality. Had some nice power too. On the negative side, I had never felt torque steer before. Really freaked me out the first time I punched it going into a corner. Car wanted to do its own thing.

 

why does the G coupe exhaust sound so much nicer than the Z?
