Default Lease Car Mods?

I have a lease and I'm not sure if i'm going to finance the car after my lease. So what mods can I do...
In particular, it's a DB, so I'd like to paint the engine covers and console to match. Think I'll get in trouble?
Im sure the best bet would be to ask the dealership, but I figured I'd ask the board first.

definitly ask, in most cases they prefer you return the car in the same condition it was sold. you could add an intake or exhaust and uninstall it when your done. but painted covers, youd have to buy new ones if they dont like them.

best to ask them.

I leased my car in the beginning and started making suspension and exhaust mods but I kept all the OEM parts so I could put it back to stock if I turned it in at the end of the lease. I've since bought the car. The dealer that has been doing my service/repairs didn't care that it was a lease...it's not their problem if anything happened.

Basically it's not your car so anything you do to it has to be returned to OEM specs if you don't buy it.

I guess you just refinanced your lease payoff amount in your name?

I was in the process of refinancing my house so I just included the lease payoff amount. When I send in my mortgage payment I make an additional "principle" payment to cover the car portion.
