Uncomfortable Seat
Does anyone else find the drivers seat a little uncomfortable? The cushion is not very thick and after an hour of driving I really get uncomfortable.
Are there any decent seat covers that will add a little padding w/o sacrificing looks?

the first 2-3 days I had the Z I thought about taking it back because of how crappy the seats felt
however after 2-3 weeks my body I guess adjusted to the seats and now I really like them
they are no where near as comfy as my old A4 leather heated seats but my Zs seats will hold me in place much better =)
over all they feel pretty good
BTW Im 5'10 and 160lbs

I have found that Japanese cars in general do not have as thick a cushion as an american car. In otherwords, if i was driving 500 miles, the Z would take it toll on me vs lets say my Ram truck.
For me, the bottom line is I bought a sports car, I did not buy it to cruise. My rpiority was handling and performance and i feel the drivetrain of a Nissan is dependable. I did not expect the seat to be comfortable.

My seat somehow got softer within the first 2 weeks of owning the z. As for long trips I found out that you need to adjust the lower seat properly so that you do not feel fatigued. Try it, with diff settings and you will be surprised what a diff it makes...
My drivers seat is comfy for me, but I am a girl and have more narrow shoulders. I also have the leather seats in my touring so I don't know if that makes a difference or not. My husband almost refuses to go on road trips in the Z (me driving of course) b/c his back and shoulders are wide, and he gets very uncomfortable in the pass. seat--very achy. He calls my Z "The sardine can" each time we take it out for long drives. Oh well, next time he can stay at home!
Well, the seats in the G35c are very comfortable. Those seats feel way softer than the Z. The Z seats are very firm and that's how racing seats are supposed to be.
I wish they would have included lumbar support though. The seats hold me in pretty tight but my lower back starts getting sore after about an hour of driving.

My back start to hurt after 30 minutes... although my wife usually drives the Z and has the seat height adjustment all the way up. I think I'm slouching to see out the back with the rear-view mirror.
My 4Runner seat is more comfy and I can see out too.

They are great if you ask me. I am coming from a 2002 Maxima, which was GLE trim and very comfortable, and haven't even thought for one second that they were unacceptable. Its a sportscar. I wasn't expecting cushy, fluffy seats, I was expecting firm, well-bolstered seats, which is what I got. I love em. I am 6' 170 lbs and they fit perfect.
I have touring as well and they are comfy to me, my lower back was aching tho so I added some lumbar support. Much better now, even went on a 600 mile non-stop drive with one pit for gas and no pain.
